It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary H. Schmitt of Utica, New York, who passed away on September 17, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Norbert Graf and Rosella Graf (Wagner); her husband Joseph A. Schmitt; her sons, Edward Schmitt of Utica, George Schmitt of Utica, Robert Schmitt of Utica, Richard Schmitt of Utica and Joseph F. Schmitt of Utica; her sisters-in-law, Catherine Graf of Utica and Mary Magurno of Florida; and her siblings, Robert Graf and Elizabeth Graf. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews and many dear friends.

The Knights of St. John's Ladies Auxiliary will offer a ritualistic service, on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Please omit floral offering and consider making a donation to Mother Marianne's West Side Kitchen, 702 Columbia St., Utica NY 13502 or St. Joseph & St. Patrick Church in Utica.
