She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Benbow and Arvilla Benbow (Shannon); and her son William "Bill" Schmidt. She is survived by: her husband Richard A. Schmidt; her children, Richard Schmidt (Diane), Mills of New York, Betty Guisinger (Bill Slocum), Mary Ellen (David), Andrew Schmidt (Kim) and John Schmidt (Debbie); and her daughter-in-law Kerry Schmidt. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and their spouses; 30 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
