He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Mitchell and Rosa Minerva Collins; his wife Donna Mae Williams; and his siblings, Milton Collins, Shirley Mitchell and Rosa Lee King.
He is survived by: his children, Tara Rios, Lamar Jr. (Zulma Mitchell), Michelle Mitchell and Andrew Mitchell; his grandchildren, Sierra, Alyssa, Isabella Rios, Aliyah Thompson, Adam, Aollani and Elijah Mitchell; his great grandchildren, Gianna, Asteria Rios, Zamari, Le'onna and Zayanna Moore; and his siblings, Leonard Mitchell, Thomas Wright, Oscar Lee, George Collins and Barbara Collins.
