She is survived by: her parents, Alan Pierce (Linda) and Diane Kemski Pierce of Utica; her brothers, Mark Pierce (Jessica Revill) of Chicago, IL and Scott Pierce (Melissa Jones) of Glenwood Springs, CO; her stepsister Alicia Jones; and also Michael Day of Utica.
The family takes comfort in Katie's donation of her kidneys.
