She was predeceased by: her son James L. Adams, Jr. (Jennifer); her parents, Rev. Ivory Adams, Sr. and Dorothy Jones; her siblings, Ivory Adams and Carolyn Gadsden; her children, John Linen, Jr., Katrina Adams and Mary Linen; her daughter-in-law Betsy Linen; her grandson Odum Shealey, Jr.; and her great-nephews, Edward Patterson and Vernon Patterson.
She is survived by: her children, Rose "Rita" Shealey (Jeff), Sandra Linen, Ronald Adams, Gary "Bernie" Linen, Rebecca Hernandez (Arlene), Traycee "Porgey" Adams, Jahmilia Joyce Adams, Carolyn "Aurgie" Adams, Joetta Adams and Aurora "Buggy" Adams; her sister Marva Adams; her brother-in-law Alonzo Gadsden; her close friend Lucille Beaton; and also Joyce.
