The memory of Joseph Stephen Deery Jr. (Utica, New York), who passed away on January 17, 2025 at the age of 78, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Deery Molinari and Joseph S. Deery, Sr.; his brother Patrick Deery; and his brother-in-law Earl Cubbin. He is survived by: his wife Cubby; his children, Sean Deery (Maribeth), Heather Meterparel of Sharon, MA, Meghan Farrington (Patrick) and Caitlin Fenton (Michael); his grandchildren, Colin Deery, Ben Meterparel, Nick Meterparel, Jackson Farrington, Kyle Farrington, Elliot Farrington, Grace Fenton and Owen Fenton; and his siblings, Mary Beth (Philip), Kevin Deery (Cathleen) and Elmira. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors (470 French Rd, Utica, NY 13502). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Mother of Our Savior Parish (2222 Genesee St, Utica, NY 13502).

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Steve's name may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. (http://www.hospicecareinc.org).
