He was predeceased by: his son Daniel J. Popeo; and his parents, Donato Popeo and Maria DeMichele Popeo. He is survived by: his wife Josephine Rasi; his son Gerald J. Popeo; his grandchildren, Laura Popeo Bernard (Kyle), Kathleen Popeo Edwards (Nathan) and John W. Popeo (Lisa); his daughter Mary Ellen Attardo (Joseph); his granddaughter Joanna; his great grandchildren, Matthew, Michael, Elizabeth Bernard, Nicholas, Andrew Edwards, Josephine and Genevieve Popeo; his siblings, Angelo Popeo (Marie), Gerald Popeo, Carmella Mastrangelo, Angeline Popeo and Gloria DaPrano; and also, Rita Popeo, Margaret "Maggie" Popeo and Helen Popeo.
