He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gagnon and Edna Gagnon (Hoole); his son-in-law Michael Schreck; his siblings, William Gagnon, James (Delores Gagnon), Joseph Gagnon, Edward Gagnon, Alice (Bert Hoole), Beatrice (William Palmer), Marylou (Pat Zenobio) and Arlene (Joseph Appler); and his sister-in-law Rosemary Gagnon.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia M. Zdyb; his children, John Gagnon, Jr. (Naomi) and Debra Schreck; his grandsons, Josh Gagnon (Erin) and Justin Gagnon; his great grandchildren, Angels Emma and Trevor Gagnon; his siblings, Roseanne (Jim Magee), Raymond Gagnon, Jacqueline (Butch King) and Robert (Wanda Gagnon); and his sisters-in-law, Delores (George Anderson), Dorothy Gagnon and Sharon Gagnon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
