Jeanette M. Simpson Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 4, 2021, at the age of 86, Jeanette M. Simpson of Utica, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Rock Schneider and Zolide Schneider (Charbonneau); and her siblings, Rock, Adolph Schneider, Fleurette Thompson, Margaret Greco, Evelyn DiPierro and Edna Naida.
She is survived by: her former husband John Sojka; her husband David Simpson; her children, John Sojka, Eric Sojka (Roberto Rea) and Janice Martino (Anthony); her grandsons, Jason, Andrew and Kyle Martino; her stepdaughter Cathy Picente (George); her stepgrandchildren, Tera and George Picente; and her sisters, Diane Kowal, Marilyn Crossley (Ray), Linda Kloster and Yvonne Thompson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
When the COVID-19 pandemic caused the quarantine and isolation of many seniors including herself, Jeanette spent numerous hours a week making phone calls in order to provide friendly conversation and companionship.
