He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Comenale and Lily Comenale (Whitaker); and his sisters-in-law, Rosie Marie Percacciante and Linda Zdanowicz. He is survived by: his wife Carol A. Percacciante; his children, Tammy Surprenant (Richard) and Mark Comenale; his grandchildren, Adriana Benkwitt (Andrew), Andrew Surprenant, Megan Bush, Paul Comenale, Laura Williamson and Kayla Hulser (Colin); his great grandchild Benson; his siblings, Barbara Boxall (Richard), Robert Comenale (Rosemary), John Comenale (Amelia) and Charles Frazier (Aleida); his daughter-in-law Debbie Koscinski; his brothers-in-law, Frank Percacciante (Laura Bedford) and John Zdanowicz (Diane); and his pet Bella. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Jim's name may be made to the Presbyterian Home Patient Activity Fund.
