It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James A. Brown of Utica, New York, born in Rome, New York, who passed away on November 5, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Brown and Gloria Brown (VanCourt); and his sister Lori. He is survived by: his wife Shannon Rose Johnston; his pets, Piper and Kasey; his children, Jennifer (Rob Coombs), Jay Brown (Alyssa Dellerba) of Utica, Erin (Will Tomaino) and Cassidy Brown of Utica; and his grandchildren, Charlie, Theo, Seth, Rhys and Landon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
