He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bivens and Isabelle Bivens (Johnson); his siblings, Clarence Bivens, Jr. and Suzette Williams; and his siblings-in-law, Lois Wilcox, Samuel Patterson, Willie Lou Patterson and Floyd Patterson.
He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Patterson; his daughter Aaliyah Bivens; his sister Elder Harriet Bivens; his sister-in-law Betty Bivens; his nieces and nephews, Darrell, Shirelle Bivens, Jamel Moyer, Bryan Patterson, Sr., Isabelle Spencer and Tony Jones; and his siblings-in-law, Patricia Patterson, Daniel Patterson Jr., Oscar Patterson, Elizabeth Patterson-Moyer and Booker Patterson. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
