He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ernest Alfred, Sr. and Lois Yager (Wuest); his wife Gayle Brondou (Scalise); his children, Gary Canter (Utica), Curtis Yager (Praphaphan) of Alabama and Kaytie Yager (Alexander Colon) of Schuyler; his grandchildren, Kevin Dougherty, Justin Dougherty, Ryleigh Canter, Zachary Bailey, Alex Colon and Alaiya Colon; his great grandchild Ila Ruth Dougherty; his sister Sandy; his brother-in-law Michael Sents; his stepchildren, Gregory Brondou (Emily), Ashleigh Grates (TJ) and Jessica Brondou Kelley (Kimmie); and his stepgrandchildren, Adrianna, Colin and Cameron. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
