He was predeceased by: his parents, Tony Ferris and Frieda Ferris (Naum); his daughter Diane A. Ferris; and his parents-in-law, Shaheen, Nabeha Zogby (Nojaim), Jack "Turk", Carol Zogby, Joseph A. T. Zogby and Clifford Jones.

He is survived by: his son Michael J.; his daughter-in-law Philomena Ferris; his grandchildren, Michael E. Ferris, Leslie Milazzo, Steven J., Janelle Ferris, Nicole and Anthony DelVecchio; his great grandchildren, Madelyn Ferris and Leah Ferris; his grandson Philip DelVecchio; his siblings, Anthony (Mercedes Ferris), Leo (Josephine Ferris), Frank Ferris, George Ferris, Angeline (Dominick DiObilda), Sarah J. (Anthony "Mitch" Abraham) and Josephine Johnson; and his sister-in-law Adele Jones. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.
