She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Joseph Lukaszewycz and Natalie Lukaszewycz (Demianchuk); and her husband Paul Sommers. She is survived by: her daughter Christine (Roman Yarema Hruby) of Ottawa, Canada; her granddaughters, Laryssa (Collin Pretty) and Lileya; her sister Oksana; her niece Adrianna (Andrew Denysenko); her great-nieces and great-nephews, Bohdan, Maria and George; her nephew Borys Polon (Karissa); and her cousin Dr. Nestor Tomycz (Ulana).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Myslinski, Kowalczyk & Nunn Funeral Directors (470 French Rd, Utica, NY 13502). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Volodymyr the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church (4 Cottage Pl, Utica, NY 13502).
Instead of flowers, remembrances in Dswinka's name may be made to St. Volodymyr the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church or the Alzheimer's Association (http://www.alz.org).
