Carlson (Utica, New York), born in Poughkeepsie, New York, who passed away on September 20, 2024, at the age of 67, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Schmadel and Monica Schmadel (Keto); and her siblings, Peggy Hughes and David Schmadel. She is survived by: her husband Calvin W. Hickling; her children, Wendy Carlson and Michael Carlson (Stephanie); her grandchildren, Michael, Emily, Avery, Randy and Julia Carlson; her siblings, Theresa Evans (Gary), Monica Best (Tom), Kevin Schmadel (Valerie) and Joseph Schmadel (Maryanne Fillmore); her stepchildren, Sarah Hickling, Kelly Hickling and Matthew Hickling; and her pets, Mittens and Pumpkin. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
