He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Toczala and Estelle Toczala (Sliwa); his granddaughter Nicole D. Shaffer; and his sister-in-law Anne Rackl. He is survived by: his wife Helene R. Lepine; his son Daniel C. Toczala (Dawn Marchitelli); his grandchildren, Marc Toczala (Brittany Wescott) and Dominica Toczala (Adam Knight); his great grandchild Alana M. Recchio; his sister Deborah Gaydos (Bob); his aunts, Jean DeCarolis (Sliwa) and Joann Serbinowski (Sliwa); his siblings-in-law, Thomas Rackl Sr., Bernard Lepine, Michelle and Micheline Lepine; and his nieces and nephews, Joanne Kavich (Rackl), Robert Kavich, Thomas Rackl (Angela), Diane Davies (Rackl) and Mark Davies.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Mt. Carmel/Blessed Sacrament Church (648 Jay St, Utica, NY 13501).
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Dennis' name may be made to St. Mary of Mt. Carmel or the Abaham House.
