He was predeceased by: his father Frank Schmadel; and his sister Peggy Hughes. He is survived by: his mother Monica Schmadel (Keto); and his siblings, Diana Carlson (Cal), Theresa Evans (Gary), Kevin Schmadel (Valerie), Monica Best (Tom) and Joseph Schmadel. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
