Daniel A. Salvo Sr. Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daniel A. Salvo Sr. (Utica, New York), who passed away on August 23, 2022 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosario Sr. Salvo and Margaret Salvo (DeTullio); his siblings, Paul Rosario Salvo, Anthony "Tony" (Mary Salvo), Josephine (Benedetto "Benny" Carcone), Katherine "Kaye" (Anthony Cannistra), Fanny "Faye" Bianco, Margaret "Bunny" (Victor Nole, Sr.), Marie (Al Giglio), Rosario A. "Russ" Salvo, Jr. and John J. Salvo; his parents-in-law, Nasser J., Wadeha Flihan (Hobaica), Julia L. "Julie" Flihan, Ramah "Art", Patricia Flihan, Joseph N. Flihan, Sr. and Dan; and his caregiver Dr. Lwin Win.
He is survived by: his sons, Rosario D. "Russ" (Kathy Salvo) and Daniel A. II (Lisa Salvo); his grandchildren, Russ D. Salvo, II, Dana, Warren Jefford, Amanda M. Salvo, Jennifer L. Salvo and Todd Grisenthwaite; his great grandchildren, Theo, Imogen Jefford, Cora Barone and Troy Grisenthwaite; his parents-in-law, Cheryl Salvo, Yvonne M. Salvo and John Bianco; and his friend Fran Joseph. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
During this time of the pandemic, he found himself home and resorted to watching Mass with his companion Gunnar, his boxer who was always by his side.
