She was predeceased by: her parents, Alexander Bowman and Maude Wells; her son Charles Edward Bowman; her sisters, Janie Mae Wilson and Williot McBride; her parents-in-law, Frank and Beatrice Blocker; her in-laws, Edward Lawrence David Blocker, Frank Blocker, Jr. and Georgia Mae Rayton; and her nephew Nikia Stenson.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Jahvetta Garrett, Jermaine Bowman, Takeya Phillips, Quadeedra Palmer and Malcom Palmer; and her siblings, Joe Louis, Wilhemenia McBride, John Bowman and Bessie Anne Bell. She is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.
