We are sad to announce that on September 20, 2021, at the age of 84, Congressman Sherwood L. Boehlert (Utica, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sherwood Boehlert and Elizabeth Champoux Boehlert; his wife Marianne Boehlert of New Hartford, NY; his children, Brooke Phillips (Tim Walter) of Bedminster, NJ, Tracy VanHook (Herb) of Rehoboth Beach, DE and Leslie Wetteland (Elton) of Jensen Beach, FL.; his grandchildren, Harrison Sherwood Drahzal, Julia Drahzal, Katherine Drahzal, Palmer Suk, Chandler Suk and Diana Suk; and his brother-in-law Allen Willey of New Hartford, NY.

The family respectfully requests that all attending please wear masks.

He was a great fan of yours and I became one too. Your integrity and ability to listen to other viewpoints and able to accomplish so much in Washington. I remember supporting you in election. I live in Syracuse now, I pay attention to the Rep elections in Oneida County and I am sorry to see Claudia Tenney in the position.”
