She was predeceased by: her husband Adalberto Torres; her parents, Mark Mitchell and Marie Howard; her grandmother Leona Grimes; and her uncles, Paul Grimes, James Grimes, Bobby Holmes and Donald Grimes.
She is survived by: her children, Tamara Francois (Batime) and Demetris Thompson, Sr.; her siblings, Theresa Bullock, Denise Footman, Mark Mitchell, Jr. and Lloyd Mitchell; and her grandchildren, Quantasia, LaDrece, DiaMohnii, JaiVaughn, JahLeihl, Louis, Deara, Demetris, Jr., Hanif, Javohnii, Jace and Keiarah. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in honor of Cheryl Torres.
