He is survived by: his wife Ellen Portnoy Abelove of Utica, NY; his sister Ann; his brother-in-law Norman Siegel of Utica, NY; his brother David; his sister-in-law Sharon Abelove of Clearwater, FL; his sister Susan; his brother-in-law Herb Pollack; his children, Amy Abelove (Ric Bowen) of Watertown, MA and Joel Abelove (Xiomara Lopez); and his grandchildren, Max, Eli Bowen, MaryElizabeth Abelove and Aaron Abelove (Melanie Novenche). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
