He was predeceased by : his parents, Carl Schmitt and Helen Fertig Schmitt; and his sister Carol Daly. He is survived by : his wife Judith Holzberger; his children, Wendy Kowalczyk (Brian) of Holland Patent, Mark Schmitt of Oswego and Erika Schmitt-Holeck; his grandsons, Jack and Ben Holeck; and also Nick Pastorelli.
