It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Assunda Ford (Utica, New York), born in Rome, New York, who passed away on January 21, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Margaret (Pape) and George (Giorgi); her siblings, Vincent (Winifred George), Linda (Whitey Lagrotteria), Rose Maio Collier (Dominick Maio), Katherine (Leonard Cecilia) and Tony (Mary Romano); her in-laws, Agnes Ford, George, Florence Ford, Elizabeth and Harold Greer; her goddaughter Geri; her pets, Waldo, Elsie, Annie, Senshi, Storm, Oliver, Olivia, Su-Su, Mutley of Chrystal, TC, Keisha and Bo-Bo; and her friend Tom Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Sue Ford, J. Mark (Echo Ford), Peggy (Robert Lounsbury), Gary Ford of Marcy, Keith Ford (Michael Nee) and Nancy L. Ford of Utica; and her grandchildren, Dr. Jenny Lounsbury, Diana, Allan, Jamie Lounsbury, Stephanie Burchell, Jessica Banach, Julia Ford and Johnnie Ford. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren and her other extended family which includes many nieces and nephews.
