Alfonzo J. Dicesare Sr. Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfonzo J. Dicesare Sr. of Utica, New York, who passed away on February 4, 2021 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Pasquale DiCesare and Theresa DiCesare (Cecci); his daughter Theresa R. "Terri" DiCesare-McDowell; his siblings, Joseph (Mary Jane "Jenny" Cardone), Carl (Amelia "Millie" DiCesare), Peter (Frances "Dolly" DiCesare), Lorenza "Larrie" (Thomas Cappozella Giangolini) and Natalie DiCesare; his nephew Luke Cardone; his friends, Jack and Elvira Getti; and also, Linda, Frank Luciano and Albert Giangolini.

He is survived by: his wife Mary M. DiStefano; his son Al J.; his daughters-in-law, Elaine, Cheryl and Carol; his grandchildren, Christopher J. DiCesare (Thierry Gablin), Tanessa "Tane" Spann, Paul W. McDowell Jr. and Joshua D. McDowell; and his parents-in-law, Armando "Arfe" and Pauline DiStefano. He is also survived by his many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins.

They also wish to express gratitude to Carol who, while battling COVID herself, found the time to call Al and together they lifted each other's spirits.
