He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Murphy and Celia Murphy (Golden); and his siblings, Paul, Elizabeth, Louise, Millie, Marion, Harry, Everett and Josephine.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Murphy; his children, Kelly Smith (Tom), Kristy Becker (Doug), Randy Murphy (Chris) and Jeffrey Murphy (Rachel); his grandchildren, Kathleen Daily, Emily Johnson, Hannah, Patrick, Mary, Andrew Smith, Colin, Lauren Murphy, Jack, Jordan Murphy, Madison Miller and Caroline Becker; and his nephew John Franklyn.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 5th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the White Chapel Funeral Home (197 South St, Auburn, NY 13021). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, September 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the St. Michael's Church North Cayuga (162 Cayuga St, Union Springs, NY 13160).
