He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold "Junie" Wall, and Barbara Van Der Wall, Jr.; his father-in-law Roger Gardenier; and his sister-in-law Barbara Boogertman. He is survived by: his wife Karen Van Der Wall; his children, Richard Van Der (Tara) and Jaclyn Van Der Wall; his grandson Richard Van Der Wall III; his siblings, Harold Van Der (Dianne), David Van Der Wall, Robin A. Humes (Michael), Donald Van Der (Ginger) and Timothy Van Der (Lisa); and his mother-in-law Marilyn Gardenier. He is also survived by numerous extended family members, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
