With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilma Nelson (Tupper Lake, New York), born in Ogdensburg, New York, who passed away on January 12, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry McCarthy and Mary Ellen McCarthy (Gruber); her siblings, Edward, George, Richard McCarthy and Maureen Sarsfield; her stepmother Dorothy; and her grandson Jared Nelson.
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Nelson (Mary Jane) of Lake Keowee, SC, William Nelson (Darlene) of Lisbon, NY, Mary Anne Connell (Steve) of Chesapeake, VA and Michelle Snell (Gary) of Parishville, NY; her grandchildren, Emily Boettcher, Billy, Alaina, Tyler, Patrick Nelson, Nicole Bright, Megan Brown, Lucas, Emma and Clare Snell; and her great grandchildren, Isabelle Nelson, Riley, Brooks Boettcher, Will, Jack, Salem Nelson, Evelyn Davis, Mason Bright, Amelia and Piper Brown.
In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to one of her favorite organizations, the Ogdensburg Boys and Girls Club, (and ensure you purchase a raffle ticket at Expo time) or to an animal sanctuary or rescue of one's choice.
