With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Jeannette Mary Gillis of Tupper Lake, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Jeannette Mary left this world on January 20, 2025 at the age of 94, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred J. Madore and Melvina Madore (Denis); her husband Roland A. "Sonny" Gillis; her granddaughter Danielle Corrow; and her son-in-law Rodger Willett.
She is survived by: her children, Deborah A. Stubley (John) of West Falls, NY, Michael D. Gillis (Lauren) of Tupper Lake, NY, Patricia Willett of Saranac Lake, NY, Mary B. Corrow (Greg) of Ellsworth, ME and Lisa Moser (Aaron) of New Gloucester, ME.; and her brother David Madore of Naples, FL. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, many extended family members and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 27th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Frary Funeral Home - Tupper Lake (24 Cliff Ave, Tupper Lake, NY 12986). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, January 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Alphonsus Church (48 Wawbeek Ave, Tupper Lake, NY 12986).
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made with memorial contributions to the Tupper Lake Rescue Squad.
