He is survived by: his wife Bernadine Belge Henson; his children, Darlene Whorton (Phillip), William Henson Jr. (Kristina), Jeff Henson (Cindy) and Alton Henson II (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Daniel, Ellyn, Courtney, Ashley, Brandon, Allyssa, Christina and Zachary; his great grandchildren, Lilly, Shane, Joseph and Connor; and also, Mercena Pratt and Deborah Orecki. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
