He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Huggins and Merle Huggins (Roberts). He is survived by: his children, Christopher (Shari), Rebekah and Jocelyn (Evan); his grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan, Emma, Eliana, Hazel and Caleb; and his brother Lynn (Coleen).

Memorial donations in Gene's name may be made to: The Syracuse Reformed Presbyterian Church, or White Lake Covenanter Camp.
