With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Charlie French of Truxton, New York, who passed away on November 14, 2024 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Charlie leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Charlie may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grant B. French and Josephine K. French; and his brother John French. He is survived by: his brother Donald R. French of Truxton; his sister-in-law Shirley French; and his nieces and nephews, Kathleen Danziger (Jeff), Colleen Shakshober (John), Christine Courtney and Thomas French (Sherry). He is also survived by great nieces and nephews, cousins and many close long-time friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 21st 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wright-Beard Funeral Home Inc. (9 Lincoln Ave, Cortland, NY 13045). A funeral service was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at 10:30 AM at the St. Patrick's Catholic Church (3656 NY-13, Truxton, NY 13158). A burial was held on Friday, November 22nd 2024 at the Truxton Cemetery.
