We are sad to announce that on October 19, 2019, at the age of 83, Marie Monroe (Truthville, New York), born in Rutland, Vermont passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Travers and Audrey Travers (Varney); her husband LeRoy Monroe Sr.; her son Theron Strong, Jr; and her siblings, Lee Travers, Bernie Bishop Brenda Bruso and Phyllis Bishop.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Strong, Melody Strong of Middlebury, Cris Johnson of Leicester and Michael Strong Sr.; and her siblings, Bunny Toxqui of North Carolina, Valayda Peery of Benson and Gloria Bishop of North Carolina. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great great granddaughter, in addition to many nieces and nephews.
