He was predeceased by: his parents, Karl Ditzell and Mildred Ditzell (Edwards); his wife Pauline; his grandson Lucas Compton; and his siblings, Leon Ditzell, Lois Ploss and Dorothy Ditzell.
He is survived by: his daughter Sandra Compton (Ralph); his grandchildren, Dennis Compton (Eliana) and Wendy Mahoney (Todd); his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Modaste (Jake), Daniel Compton, Robert Compton, Lea Mahoney, Stillman Mahoney, Luciana Compton and Marcella Compton; his great great grandchildren, Penelope, Rosalie, Elizabeth and Macy; and his sisters, Marian Ditzell and June Morrison (Ross). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
