He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ditmars and Martha Ditmars; and his brothers, James and Charles "Buster" Ditmars. He is survived by: his wife Helen; his children, John Ditmars (Terri), Ed Ladd (Julie), Shirley Ladd (Chuck) and Jerry Ladd (Sharon); his siblings, Sally Cooper, Shirley Akey (Wayne), Peter Ditmars (Lois), MaryEllen Colendini (Bart) and Sharon Kaiser; and his sister-in-law Patsy Ditmars. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
