We bid farewell to Anne Schaffer (Trumansburg, New York), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on February 2, 2025 at the age of 89. Anne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Paul Shallenberger and Eleanor Shallenberger (Baker); and her grandson Jonathan Van Valen. She is survived by: her husband Forrest "Lou" Schaffer; her daughters, Deborah Michalski, Lynne Baker (David) and Gretchen Van Valen (John); her grandchildren, Brittany Bagley Burchell (Kenny), Jamie Frizzi, Katie Van Valen, Ryan DeBolt, Aidan DeBolt, Liam Looker, Kara Van Valen and Quinn Van Valen; her great grandchildren, Oliver and Maeve Burchell; her siblings, Lynn Anderson, Kathryn Shallenberger and John Shallenberger; and her nieces and nephews, Blythe Knott and Kevin Anderson. She is also survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Ness-Sibley Funeral Home (23 South St, Trumansburg, NY 14886).
