She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Oliver "Ollie" Simonsen; her parents, Platt H. Smith and Florence Belding Smith; her sons, Gary (Nancy) of Madison Connecticut, Eric (Sherri) of Slingerlands and Craig (Lisa) of Williamsburg, Virginia.; her grandchildren, Kimberly (Ickes), Erica (Sayman), Brad (Laura), Drew (Sarah), Haley, Lauren, Oliver and Owen Simonsen; her great grandchildren, Cameron, Ryan Ickes, Adam Simonsen and Brooks Sayman; and her daughters-in-law, Nancy, Lisa and Sherri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ginny's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Canajoharie Library and Art Museum .
