He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Robert, Bette McCafferty, Beverly and Helen Hayner. He is survived by: his parents, Robert McCafferty (Debra Rogers) of Lansingburgh and Lynn McDonald (James) of Chestertown; his sisters, Maureen McDonald (Thomas) of Stuyvesant, Erin Carter of Corinth, Cailin McCafferty of Lansingburgh, Jody Lewis (Jeremy) of Lansingburgh, Carrie Harrison of Castleton and Valerie Halse (Eric) of Wynantskill; the mother of his children Kelly Sunkes McCafferty; his daughters, Gianna and Luchia McCafferty of Averill Park; and his uncle Robert Hayner of Rensselaer.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be made to the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society, which was very near and dear to his heart.
