He was predeceased by: his parents, Birger Arthur Heggen Sr. and Eileen Russell Heggen, Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Andrea Benamati Heggen; his children, Aaron Heggen (Corinna) of Clifton Park, Adam Heggen (Lindsey Kirk) of Schenectady, Amy Heggen (Todd Prusky), Greenbush, Shawn Mosca, Kevin Mosca (S. Franky Halloran) of Chicago, IL, Stephanie Fogarty (Frank) of Clifton Park and Robert Skibinski (Billy Dibble, MD) of Syracuse; his siblings, Birger Arthur Heggen, Jr. and Judith Rytell (Ed); and his grandchildren, Miles, Isabella Heggen, Zachary Layh, Arilyn Horton and Jacob Fogarty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
