With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Margie M. Clancy in Troy, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 27, 2024 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Margie may journey beyond the horizon of our sight, her essence remains woven into the very fabric of our being — a guiding light in the darkness, a beacon of hope in the night.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ira McGowan and Sarah McGowan; and her husband James Joseph Clancy. She is survived by: her children, Diane Ganeles (Michael) and David J. Clancy; and her grandsons, Brian and Jaydan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends, including her wonderful neighbors.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, December 7th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Bloomingrove Cemetery.
