He was predeceased by: his father Christian Johansen; and his brother Eric Johansen. He is survived by: his mother Nancy Barss Johansen; his brothers, Kevin Johansen (Regina), David Johansen (Linda) and Thomas Johansen (Ruth Scrum); and his pet Pretty. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
