He was predeceased by: his parents, William Craver and Helen Craver; and his brother William Craver. He is survived by: his wife Arlene (Drobny); his children, Donna Craver (Alicia Phelan) and John P. Craver, Jr.; his grandson Ethan P. Craver; and his sister Marie Kachmar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the W. J. Lyons Jr. Funeral Home (1700 Washington Ave, Rensselaer, NY 12144). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in John's memory to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org) and the Mohawk Hudson Humane Society (https://mohawkhumane.org).
