With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Geraldine (Gerry) Kyer (Troy, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Geraldine left this world on April 22, 2025 at the age of 98, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid adieu to Geraldine's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Geraldine has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her mother Mary Sickles (Canfield); her brother Frank Hayes (Eleanor); her grandson Michael Bartis; and her close friend Larry Gillespie. She is survived by: her children, Sandy Malone (Terry) of Schaghticoke, Don Kyer (Judy) of Ruskin, FL, Gary Kyer (Edna) of Saratoga Springs, Nancy Couser (Rocky) of Schaghticoke, Bill Kyer (Laura) of Saratoga Springs, Lynne Bartis of Schaghticoke, Lori Chapko (Larny) of Valley Falls and Jim Kyer (Christine) of Valley Falls. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Transfiguration Parish (50 Hillview Dr, Troy, NY 12182). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 2nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the same location.
