With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elaine N. Whalen (Troy, New York), born in Ballston Spa, New York, who passed away on February 18, 2018 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Lee Whalen; and her sister Ellen Hyde. She is survived by: her parents, Edward Schnars and Ruth Schnars; her husband Thomas; her grandchildren, Kelsey Latham, Carter Older, Nathan Patenaude, Jessica Quigley, Tera Patenaude, Katie Whalen, Thomas Whalen, Piper Whalen, Rachel Smisloff, Grace Smisloff, William Smisloff and Leah Smisloff; her great grandchildren, Harper Patenaude and Scarlett Quigley; her sister Liz Frank; and also, Lorrie Patenaude (Michael) of Gansevoort, Mark Whalen of Troy, Timothy Whalen (Mary) of Porter Corners and Beth Smisloff (Mark) of Saratoga Springs. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
