It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Newland (Troy, New York), who passed away on February 23, 2018, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward Newland to pay them a last tribute.

He is survived by: his wife Ann Patricia Newland (Pat); and his children, Mary Jo LaPosta-Purcell, Daniel Newland of Piedmont, Maggie Conroy (Shawn) of Basking Ridge, N. J. and Kate Morgan (Kevin) of Latham, N. Y.

Although a Master Gardener, it was Ed's request that no flowers be sent, rather that monetary donations be made to Books for the Troops c/o Ellen Keegan, 152 Oak Brook Common, Clifton Park, NY 12065, an organization to which Ed was an avid contributor.
