He was predeceased by: his parents, Troy Smyers and Hazel Smyers; his son Michael Smyers; and his brothers, Daniel Smyers and Jerry Smyers.
He is survived by: his wife Rose Mary; his children, Kenneth Smyers, Kenda Butterfield and Dean Smyers; and his grandsons, Anthony Smyers, Christopher Delaney and Sam Butterfield.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Michael the Archangel Church (175 Williams Rd, Troy, NY 12180). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A committal service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. Peter's Cemetery. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at the same location.
