He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Batchelder and Ellen Milrick Batchelder; and his brothers, Mike and Bill Batchelder. He is survived by: his child Lake Campground; his wife Cathy; his children, Jim Farrell (Kristy), Jennifer Watts (Stefan) and Melissa Laird (Jason); his stepson Al Articolo (Lisa); his sons, John Flansburg and Jason Bonesteel; his siblings, Bob Batchelder (Sally), Pat Batchelder (Karen) and Edith "Tootie" Hanke (Herb); his grandchildren, Ryan Baranski (Miranda) and Hanna Baranski; his great grandchild Bradley Cerecedes; his godchildren, Erica, Sara and Anthony Cardinuto; and his stepgrandchildren, Matt, Nick Articolo and Brianna Paskevich (Joe).

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Frank P. McDonald and Son Funeral Home (870 2nd Ave, Troy, NY 12180). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
