He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert J. Thurber and Priscilla Wager Thurber; his son Albert D. "Dougie" Thurber Jr.; and his grandparents, Helen and Harold Wager.
He is survived by: his spouse Shirley Thurber; his daughters, Denise Rockefeller (Greg), Cindy Higgins (Carey) and Cheryl Thurber; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Mackenzie and Gregory, Jr. Rockefeller (Brittney); and his sister-in-law Helen (Kinzley).
