He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo "James" and Rosaria Cassetta Zurlo; and his sisters, Marietta Juliano, Josephine Juliano, Caroline Zurlo and Antoinette C. "Ann" Meyer.

He is survived by: his wife Harriet King Zurlo; his children, James Zurlo (Dorene), Debra Clements (Leonard) and Diane Keller (John); his grandchildren, James Zurlo (Alysia), Nicholas Zurlo and Emily Zurlo; his great grandchild Aiden; and his siblings, Louise "Jean" Zeno and Rudy Zurlo. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Sam's memory may be made to the Foundation of the Montgomery County Office for Aging, 135 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY 12010.
